Lesson learned.
Bah!
My partner was supposed to be Raze. But his car broke down the morning before. So I go to the jam and a random guy asks if I will battle with him.
The thing I learned most from this battle was that I can't do power at the end of a set. I'm just too freaking tired. I tried to save it, by doing freezes, but that was a major fail since I couldn't find my balance after crashing out of the power combo.
Lesson: Do power at the beginning of your set
or
Practice doing power at the end of your sets more often during practice.
Update on jobs and such
So last week I was hired on by Specialties Cafe and Bakery in Downtown San Diego.
Which is GREAT because that means I can actually start making money to live and stuff. Unfortunately, that means that I can no longer teach at Metro Dance.
Saaaaad.

I am however, still working as a sub for Cultureshock Dance Center so that means I can still use their studio to practice and such.
Also, as of tomorrow, I will be working part time for CUPS!
It's a Cupcake shop with an espresso bar. More money means that I can pay off my student loans quicker, which means I can go back to school and be a Nurse! Yay!
Now for more bad news. No competitions for a loooong time. But I'm ok with that because the material that I'm working on is going to take a looooong time to concrete. Plus, I have to give my body time to heal from previous injuries. So there's the updates and such.

So, as the bio says, I am a bboy from the Midwest. I created this blog to use as a professional source for jobs and also just a place for me to focus on myself in the bboy community. I have a tublr but I rarely use it. So anyway, this is my Blogspot/man diary.

Breaking Instructor/Choreographer
Keane Rowley was raised in Indianapolis, Indiana and found Breaking his
freshmen year at Indiana University Bloomington in 2006. After falling in
love with this style of dance, he began competing around the Midwest of
the United States. Keane has won multiple competitions in the Midwest
and has taught masterclasses and workshops for dancers of various
levels. Keane believes that if you have a heartbeat, you have rhythm. And if
you have rhythm, you can dance.
